Hybrid warfare presents a significant challenge to national security, blending multi-domain tactics where cyberspace acts as a key battlefield. Existing analytical frameworks often assess cyber threats in technical isolation, failing to capture their synergistic impact when combined with other hostile actions. To address this gap, this paper introduces the 'Intelligent Hybrid Warfare Thermometer,' a conceptual model for the holistic assessment of integrated threats. The model's framework combines a static knowledge base, built on expert judgment, with a dynamic engine that performs large-scale, automated analysis of real-time data. Its hierarchical architecture is composed of specialized 'Dimensional Thermometers' and a central 'Synergy Analysis Engine' designed to identify complex, cross-domain attack patterns. This paper focuses on the model's application to cyberspace, illustrating its capacity to detect cascading effects, such as a cyberattack coordinated with a disinformation campaign. Ultimately, the Thermometer translates multifaceted threat data into a single, intuitive strategic metric, providing decision-makers with a clearer and more timely understanding of the security environment. |
